Working closely with the picture team at Carlton Books, Emma was responsible for the bold design of Witness, a photography book capturing all aspects of human emotion, drama and tragedy. Witness features powerful and stirring images from the world’s greatest photojournalists, as well as provides a history of the medium. Starting with key figures such as Roger Fenton, who photographed the Crimean War with a large format camera, it moves through the decades covering defining events in history from the Great Depression, to space missions, the collapse of the Berlin Wall and the Iraq War.
